On match day, spectators throng to giant outdoor screens, cram into roadside tea stands and crowd on to floor cushions at house parties. I popped into a few such venues in Islamabad myself and no one I met showed the faintest hope of victory. My friends told me they were more likely to pray for a graceful loss than an improbable win.
